Riders and horses competed individually in the prestigious equestrian discipline, with levels ranging from Advanced Medium to the Preliminary test for juniors.

The winning rosette in the Advanced Medium Class was proudly won by Joanne Ivemey and her outstanding gelding Archimedes from Desert Palm Stables. The pair were closely followed by the young rider Charlotte Drakeley riding Ronaldo from Abu Dhabi Royal Stables, with EEC rider Janis Jackson and her horse Vedo placing third.

Taking her place on the winner’s podium again this week in the Medium class was Tracy Gill riding the improving mare Picarda. Second place went to Shakira Muller on the impressive flaxen chestnut gelding Malthe, followed by Karin Lindbom riding her consistently-placed Akhal Teke mare Mer Mer. All riders in the medium class competed for Emirates Equestrian Centre.

The Elementary class saw the winning rosette go to Jo McGowan and the palomino stallion Senator from Zabeel Riding Barn. Karin Lindbom was runner up in her second class for the evening again riding Mer Mer. Third in the class was Christine Khairallah riding the striking grey warmblood Lubo.

The Novice class was won by Diane Crabtree riding the EEC riding school horse Quantum Star, with W’rsan Farm’s Mohammed Lamhireche riding Al Borait W’rsan coming in second. Third place was shared by Emirates Equestrian Centre riders Sarah Smith riding All Made Up and Kirsty Stroud riding her gelding Peter du Fort.

The preliminary class for seniors was won by the Emirates Equestrian Centre’s up and coming rider Kelly Schmitt riding her smart chestnut mare Dancing Queen. Second in the class was Lucy Chalcraft on Flagmount’s Crackerjack, also from Emirates Equestrian Centre, and third Jo McGowan on Minne El from Zabeel Riding Barn.

Preliminary junior class was won by Karin Lindbom riding Shannon. The duo were followed by Maitha al Hajri on the striking stallion Chameleon and third place went to Alyssa Ritters and Dunabit – all riders from Emirates Equestrian Centre.
