Riding his own horse, Cash Only, Al Qasimi (pictured) produced a clear round with an impressive time of 60.18 seconds, a full eight seconds faster than second place winner Ahmed Nabil Falaknaz on board Look At Me 2, and 18 seconds faster than third place winner, fellow Emirati Abdulrahman M Al Habsi riding Nemesis De Balliere.
Organised by the Dubai Equestrian Club and kindly sponsored by Gulf News, Longines and DOM International, the DSJC started on Thursday and climaxes tomorrow, and boasts prizemoney of AED 500,000 event.
Entertainment includes food and beverage stands, pony rides, face painting, sand art, henna, inflatable games, clowns, stilt walkers, jugglers, a magician, fire displays, and a children’s play area.
Gates open at 12.30pm on Saturday.
