HRH P Abdullah bin Metab Al Saud won the feature event on the first day of the AED500,000 Dubai Show Jumping Championship 2008.
The Saudi Arabian rider took the Dubai Equestrian Club Two Phases (Class 2), worth AED75,000 in total, after clear rounds in both phases on board Poco Loco.

The Emirates Equestrian Centre’s Omar Khoori took the honours in the opening event of the Dubai Show Jumping Championship 2008.
The local rider won the AED5,000 National Welcome Stakes (National Class No1) on board Secret d’Amour after a faultless round in a time of 65.24s.

Local show jumper Abdullah Al Marri believes the UAE can shine at this weekend’s 2008 Dubai Show Jumping Championship.
Fresh from his recent World Cup Qualifier and Riyadh Grand Prix triumphs in Saudi Arabia, Al Marri has his eye set on winning the Dubai Grand Prix - a qualifier for the World Cup - on Saturday January 12.
