The Emirates Equestrian Centre (EEC) is the only fully approved British Horse Society riding and training centre in the Middle East and our qualified staff can cater for all levels of riding from novice to advanced. The main disciplines here are show jumping, dressage and now eventing, which has become more popular in the UAE.
In total Emirates Equestrian Centre hosted thirty-two events in the 2010-2011 season and with 250-plus pupils per week taking tuition and with all the livery and school horses/ponies to care for it has been a very busy season. The centre’s Manager, Paul McAuley would like to take this opportunity to thank patrons and staff for a very successful season.
The season here in the UAE runs from the middle of September to the middle of June, so whether you are a beginner or a serious competitor, Emirates Equestrian Centre has the complete package for all your equestrian needs.
The British Horse Society
Emirates Equestrian Centre has been approved by the British Horse Society for over 10 years and is a recognized as a riding and training yard.
The BHS aims to improve the level of equestrian knowledge and standards - increasing enjoyment for riders and for the good of all horses. They offer the most recognizable worldwide equestrian qualifications from grooms certificates to world-class trainer.
Throughout the season here at the centre, we arrange for clients to take part in training courses for the BHS exams starting at the Progressive Riding Tests and continuing all the way through to the BHSAI which is the first level on the professional teaching qualification ladder. Further training can also be given for those wishing to achieve a higher goal.
The Pony Club
Dubai Pony Club was established about 20 years ago, just after the opening of the Emirates Equestrian Centre. The Dubai branch works alongside the British Pony Club which was set up as part of the British Horse Society. Its aim is to inspire children and create enthusiasm, with a focus on having “ordinary children on ordinary ponies”. It also promotes education in the care and welfare of horses and ponies.
The types of activities that occur over the course of the season range from riding lessons, mounted games, treasure hunts, as well as stable management. We hold show jumping, dressage and cross country leagues, which lead to the Championship Finals at the end of the season.
Throughout the season, members take part in training sessions that lead to the Pony Club exams, which are recognized worldwide.
